Arrival Shows Terms and Conditions
Status: Approved for publication by NOMI VENTURES LIMITED Version: 1.0 Effective date: 24 July 2026 Last updated: 24 July 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you buy an Arrival Shows online exhibition service or submit material for an exhibition. Please read them before paying. They form a contract between you and NOMI VENTURES LIMITED.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that the law gives you and that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
2. Who we are
Arrival Shows is presented by Arrival Gallery and operated by NOMI VENTURES LIMITED, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16440844.
Registered office: 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE. VAT number: GB 517 9335 71. Email: curator@arrivalshows.uk\ Website: https://arrivalshows.uk
In these terms, “Arrival Shows”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean NOMI VENTURES LIMITED. “You” means the person buying the service or, where you are authorised to act for an artist collective, both you and that collective as the context requires.
3. The services
Arrival Shows offers three monthly online exhibition packages:
- a general group exhibition;
- separate solo exhibitions; and
- a group photography exhibition.
The package page and order summary state the exhibition month, artwork allowance, price, VAT, deadline, capacity, and included services. Every launch package includes:
- a public online exhibition for the relevant full calendar month;
- an artist biography or profile;
- artwork details and enlarged image viewing;
- private forwarding of visitor artwork enquiries;
- a digital participation certificate; and
- a post-exhibition PDF by email.
Group and photography participants receive the complete PDF for the relevant group exhibition. Solo participants receive a personal solo-exhibition PDF.
The service does not include an artist dashboard, performance reports, a permanent public archive, guaranteed social-media promotion, direct artwork sales, video or audio exhibition, or multi-currency checkout.
4. Eligibility and authority
You must be 18 or older. Applications are open internationally to individual artists, photographers, and collectives.
If you submit for a collective or on behalf of another rights owner, you promise that you are authorised to enter the contract, make the submission declarations, approve exhibition content, and grant the licence in the Artist Rights Agreement.
You may submit one application to each package per month. You may enter more than one different package in the same month.
5. Ordering and contract formation
The checkout shows the package, artwork allowance, net price, VAT, and total price before you pay. You are responsible for checking the order and the email address used for secure links.
Your order is an offer to buy the service. A contract is formed when we confirm successful payment by email. A place in a particular exhibition is nevertheless conditional on:
- the relevant capacity remaining available;
- a complete submission by the deadline;
- valid image files and required information; and
- compliance with these terms and the Artist Rights Agreement.
Places are allocated first-paid, first-served. We do not operate a waiting list at launch. If a technical race causes us to take payment after capacity has been exhausted, we will refund the affected order in full.
6. Price, VAT, and payment
All advertised prices are in GBP and include VAT. Checkout and receipts display the VAT component separately at the applicable approved rate.
Your bank or card provider may convert another currency or charge fees. Those charges are outside our control and are not amounts paid to us.
A failed or incomplete payment does not reserve a place. A retry link may remain available until the monthly deadline, subject to capacity. Do not send payment-card details to staff by email or support form.
We provide a durable payment confirmation and VAT receipt by email. You must tell us promptly if the receipt appears incorrect.
7. Starting the service during the cancellation period
We begin supplying parts of the service soon after payment. This may include allocating capacity, providing secure submission tools, validating files, processing submission information, running moderation checks, and preparing exhibition content.
Where consumer law gives you a 14-day cancellation period, checkout will ask you separately to request that we begin the service during that period. The request must not be pre-selected.
If you make that request and then exercise a statutory cancellation right before the service is fully performed, the law may allow us to charge a proportionate amount for service supplied up to cancellation. If the service is fully performed within the cancellation period after your express request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may end. Our additional full-refund promise for artist cancellation before the monthly deadline applies as set out in section 15 and may be more generous.
8. Secure links and communications
Arrival Shows uses secure email links instead of artist accounts or dashboards. You must:
- provide an email address you can access;
- keep secure links private;
- check spam or junk folders and monitor messages relating to deadlines;
- request a replacement link promptly if one is lost; and
- tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may replace or invalidate a link for security. We are not responsible for delay caused solely by an incorrect email address you supplied or by your failure to keep a link secure, but this does not affect any responsibility we cannot lawfully exclude.
9. Submission deadlines and monthly schedule
All deadlines use the Europe/London time zone and automatically follow UK daylight-saving changes.
- Open calls close at 11:59 pm on the 25th, or earlier when capacity is reached.
- The next monthly open calls open at 12:00 am on the 26th.
- Private previews are normally emailed on the 26th.
- Corrections close at 11:59 pm on the 27th.
- Content locks on the 28th.
- Exhibitions publish at 12:00 am on the first day of the relevant month.
- Exhibitions close at 11:59 pm on the final day of that month.
You are responsible for submitting early enough to resolve upload or information errors. A support request does not automatically extend a deadline. We will consider evidence of a fault in our service fairly and in accordance with your statutory rights.
10. Incomplete submissions
Payment alone does not reserve a place if the required submission remains incomplete.
If a paid submission is incomplete at the monthly deadline, we transfer it automatically to the following month once. You must complete a valid submission for that later month. If it remains incomplete at the following deadline, we cancel it and issue a full refund, including VAT and paid artwork add-ons. A second transfer is not offered. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
11. Images and information
Accepted image formats are JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC. Each file must be no larger than 20 MB and at least 2,000 pixels on its longest edge. Portrait, landscape, and square images are accepted. Each artwork has one main display image. Video and audio are not accepted at launch.
We may technically validate, convert, resize, compress, and optimise images for secure and reliable web delivery. We do not promise that every screen, browser, or printer will reproduce colour identically.
You must provide accurate artwork information, an accurate biography, meaningful alternative text, and a truthful price or availability state. You must not include unnecessary personal information about another person.
12. Corrections and approval
We send a private exhibition preview through a secure link. During the correction period you may edit text and replace images. Replacements must remain within the artwork allowance already paid for. More works can be added only through the relevant additional payment before the deadline and within the package maximum.
You must check names, titles, images, captions, dimensions, prices, availability, biography, exhibition introduction, alt text, and order. If you do not request a correction before the deadline, we may treat the preview as approved for publication, subject to our duty to address rights, privacy, safety, or material legal concerns.
13. Content rules and artist responsibilities
The general group and solo services accept still images of physical or digital artwork. The photography service accepts still photography. Artistic nudity and AI-generated artwork are permitted. We do not require disclosure of AI use.
You must not submit illegal material; hate content, credible threats, or targeted harassment; exploitative material; sexual content involving minors; or material that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or another person’s rights.
You make the warranties and grant the licence in the Artist Rights Agreement. That agreement forms part of this contract.
14. Automated checks and moderation
We do not make a subjective artistic selection. Submissions that pass payment, form, image, and automated content checks are normally accepted automatically while capacity remains.
We may send a submission to staff review where a check indicates a possible legal, rights, safety, or content-policy issue. We may ask for information, require a correction or replacement, restrict access while reviewing, or reject material presenting a legal, safety, or reputational risk.
We will act reasonably and explain a rejection. A submission rejected before publication receives a full refund, including VAT and artwork add-ons. We may preserve limited evidence of the review where reasonably necessary for legal, security, or dispute purposes.
15. Cancellation, refunds, and transfers
Our Refund and Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms.
- If you cancel before the monthly deadline, we provide a full refund, including VAT and artwork add-ons.
- After the deadline, we do not offer a discretionary change-of-mind refund, but your statutory rights are unaffected.
- If we cancel an exhibition, you may choose a full refund or transfer to the following month.
- If we reject a submission before publication, we provide a full refund.
- A paid submission incomplete at the deadline transfers automatically once as described in section 10.
- A transferred submission that remains incomplete at the following deadline is cancelled and fully refunded, including VAT and paid artwork add-ons.
Refunds are made to the original payment method unless the law requires otherwise. We confirm when a refund is instructed. Your bank or payment provider controls the time it takes to appear after issue.
Instructions for exercising a statutory cancellation right and the model cancellation form appear at the end of these terms.
16. Publication, closure, and post-exhibition files
We aim to publish and close exhibitions according to the monthly schedule. Temporary maintenance, security action, service-provider failure, or events outside reasonable control may affect availability. We will take reasonable steps to restore the service and communicate a material interruption.
Public exhibitions are not kept as a permanent archive. After closure, we generate and email the certificate and relevant PDF. PDFs are retained only temporarily for generation, delivery, and necessary delivery retries. You are responsible for keeping delivered copies.
17. Artwork enquiries and sales
Arrival Shows is not the seller, agent, marketplace, escrow provider, or payment provider for artwork.
If a visitor submits an enquiry, we privately forward their contact details and message to the artist and copy Arrival Gallery. Artist email addresses are not displayed publicly.
The artist and visitor are responsible for identity checks, negotiation, payment, tax, shipping, customs, insurance, returns, condition, authenticity, and the final sale contract. We do not take sales commission and do not guarantee that an enquiry will result in a response or sale.
18. Intellectual property
You retain copyright and other rights in your submitted work. You grant the limited licence set out in the Artist Rights Agreement.
We or our licensors own the Arrival Shows service, site design, software, house copy, compilation, and Arrival Shows/Arrival Gallery branding, excluding artist material. You may share public exhibition links and your delivered certificate and PDF for personal portfolio and non-misleading promotional purposes. You must not imply endorsement, alter another artist’s work, or extract and reuse another participant’s material without permission.
19. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains storage and access technologies used by the site. These notices do not form contractual promises where the law treats them as notices, but we remain responsible for complying with applicable data-protection and electronic-communications law.
20. Service standards and statutory remedies
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Information we give you about the service that you rely on may be binding where consumer law says so.
If the service does not conform to the contract, you may have statutory remedies, including repeat performance or a price reduction where applicable. Contact curator@arrivalshows.uk with your reference and a clear description of the problem.
21. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of rights that cannot legally be excluded.
We are not responsible for a loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed. If you use the service wholly or mainly for business purposes, consumer protections may not apply in the same way. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We are not a party to artwork sales and are not responsible for loss arising from a private transaction between an artist and visitor, except to the extent caused by our own breach of legal duty.
22. Ending or suspending the contract
You may end the contract in accordance with section 15.
We may suspend access or end the contract if you materially breach these terms, submit prohibited material, misuse secure links, threaten the security of the service, or fail to provide information reasonably required to deliver the service. Where appropriate, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue. Refund entitlement depends on the reason, work already supplied, these terms, and statutory rights. Content rejection before publication receives the full refund stated above.
23. Complaints and support
Contact curator@arrivalshows.uk. We acknowledge support requests automatically and aim to send a human response within two UK business days. This is a target, not a guarantee, and does not replace a statutory deadline.
Please include your submission reference, the outcome you want, and supporting information that does not expose payment-card details or unnecessary personal data.
24. Changes to these terms
The version accepted at checkout applies to that order. We may change terms for future orders to reflect service, legal, or operational changes. We will not retrospectively replace the accepted version unless the change benefits you or the law requires it. We retain a record of the version accepted with each order.
25. General terms
If a court finds part of these terms unlawful, the remaining parts continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. You may not transfer the contract without our agreement, except where the law permits. We may use service providers and transfer our rights or obligations where this does not reduce your protections.
No person other than you and us has a right to enforce this contract, except where legislation provides otherwise.
26. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of mandatory protections and court rights available under the law that applies to you. Nothing in this section prevents you from relying on a mandatory law or court right that applies in your country of residence.
